Nexium Control is a medicine that contains the active substance esomeprazole. It is used in adults for the short-term treatment of reflux symptoms (sometimes called acid reflux), such as heartburn (a painful sensation in the chest rising up to your throat) and acid regurgitation (a sour taste in the mouth).Nexium Control is not meant to bring immediate relief. You may need to take the tablets for 2-3 days in a row before you feel better.One pill offers up to 24 hour protection from heartburn by controlling the proton pumps that produce acid.

Adults over 18 years of age :Take one tablet once a day for up to 14 days. Do not exceed this dose.The tablets should be swallowed whole. Do not chew or crush the tablets.This is because the tablet containscoated pellets, which stop the medicine from being broken down by the acid in your stomach. It is important not todamage the pellets. You can take your tablet at any time of the day either with food or on an empty stomach.
